 Beware the Bait and Switch! Mar 24, 2011

Advertised as Unicel, and that's what I ordered, but a Pleatco arrived in the mail. I was specifically NOT ordering a Pleatco as my pool service pro advised me against them. They credited me a discount, so I am satisfied on that account, but be careful if Pleatco is not what you want... Buyer Beware!!

I bought one of these last year to replace standard Hayward filters that were a little beyond their serviceable life. Product arrived quickly, and fit as it was supposed to. After a year of filtering a 35K pool with a 2.5 HP pump working through 4" pipes 6 hours per day - it appears to have lost its "touch". However, I am inclined to believe this is not completely abnormal given the debris and use my pool gets.
Overall - pretty darn happy and I will pocket the $50 savings from a replacement at Leslie's for shock/chlorine.

By Buyer Beware!
We ordered the Unicel Cartridge (as it is listed on Amazon) and we received a Pleatco Cartridge in the mail. When I contacted Pool Supply about this error, they responded that they did not have a Unicel brand cartridge. FALSE ADVERTISING! Don't tell your customers that you have a certain brand and then send them another kind. Avoid this shady company at all costs!

I ordered the Unicel product from this vendor and received the Pleatco instead. Amazon made it right, but I would be cautious about purchasing from this vendor. I read a similar review, so this seems to be a pattern.
