Bad, bad, bad... I could of sworn I ordered a Hayward filter according to the description AND PHOTO!! Anyway.. back it goes. Found same filter (Pleatco) for around $40 on Amazon so why would I pay more for this. I prefer a Hayward since I'm about to replace my 5 yr old Hayward and it's still doing the job. I figured I better be proactive and get one soon. Have a great day :)

Hayward CX12000RE replacement pool filter was shipped without ANY packing material, not even a cardboard box. A shipping label was placed on the filter and it was shipped. The filter was received nicked up, and very dirty. I sent an email to Lawn & Patio and was told "we inform our shippers to box the shipments, but a filter being dirty and nicked up won't hurt the filter operation".
I will never purchase from them again!
If you want to buy a "NEW" filter that looks like the one you are replacing, buy one here.

is is not a Hayward made Filter, it is made by Pleatco. The Pleatco Brand is an excellent filter and available thru Amazon at $61.6o. A savings of $7.30 over the advertised Hayward Filter. Filter PA120 ns I have used them for over 3 years and a really consumber friendly firm. I had one filter fail on me and one phone call fulfilled my wish, Pleatco sent out a replacement over night delivery at NO Charge to me.

Like others I ordered the genuine Hayward item
like others Amazon sent a generic make. I had to install this because of time restraints but I requested and got a refund on the price diference. They assured me the page and description would be all sorted out immediately. Its now 2 months later. the heading changed mostly... still says by Hayward and the description still says its a Hayward ... Its a shame that a simple things get by and drops a good reputation

I specifically wanted a Hayward Brand filter! No where in the description did it say it was not a Hayward Filter. It just said Hayward Replacement Filter I could have bought a Pleatco Filter for $10-$15 less on other sites. Now that they want me to review this item, all of a sudden it says Pleatco Replacement for Hayward. That was NOT how it read in the original description. The filter iteslf is fine, it's just that I could have bought a Pleatco filter for much less!!!
Looks like other people complained as now the description says Pleatco replacement for Hayward, not how I bought it as Hayward Replacement Filter!
